Privacy policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
FlipNChat is operated by DW HQ PTE LTD, a company registered in Singapore (UEN and GST registration no. 201715623N). This page explains what personal data FlipNChat collects, why, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us. We do not sell personal data, and we do not show advertising or use advertising trackers.
1. Who we are
DW HQ PTE LTDMarina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1, 8 Marina Boulevard, Level 11, Singapore 018981
Email: hello@dwhq.com.sg
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean DW HQ PTE LTD. "FlipNChat" means our website at flipnchat.com, our studios at studios.flipnchat.com and enterprise.flipnchat.com, and the publications we host at digital.flipnchat.com and on our customers' own web addresses.
2. Two kinds of people, two roles
Our customers are the businesses and people who use FlipNChat to publish. This includes their team members, our partners (resellers), and anyone who asks us for an invite. For their personal data, we decide how it is used and we are responsible for it.
Readers are people who open a publication that one of our customers has published. The customer (the publisher) decides what goes in the publication and who it is for. We handle readers' data on the publisher's behalf, to run the publication for them. If you have a question about a particular publication, please contact its publisher. You are also welcome to write to us, and we will help.
3. What we collect
If you ask for an invite
Your name, your work email address, how you heard about FlipNChat, and the address of the page you sent the request from.
If you have a FlipNChat account
- Your name, email address and password. We never store your password itself, only a salted, one-way scrambled form of it that cannot be turned back into the password.
- Your two-step sign-in settings, if you turn two-step sign-in on.
- A record of your acceptance of the subscriber agreement: the name and role you gave, the time, and the IP address it came from.
- What you do in the studios, such as the publications you create and the credits you use. We also keep a log of important changes to your account, recording who made each change and when.
- The files and content you upload, such as PDFs, page images, logos and the text a publication answers from.
If you are a FlipNChat partner
Your name, email address, mobile number, company and industry, and your sign-in details.
For quotations and invoices
The client's company name, contact person, email address, mobile number, address and company registration number. These come from the client itself, through a form link, or from their FlipNChat partner.
If you read a publication
- Your questions. We keep what you type or say to a publication's assistant, together with the language, the time and a random visitor code. The publisher can see these questions, so they can improve the publication.
- Your voice. If you use the microphone, your recording is sent for transcription so the assistant can understand it. We do not keep the recording itself. We keep only the words it was turned into, as your question.
- How the publication is used. Examples are pages viewed, highlighted areas clicked, and the number of conversations. These are linked to the random visitor code, not to your name.
- Comments and poll answers you choose to leave on a presentation. A comment includes the name you give with it.
- A random visitor code stored in your browser. It lets us count visits and conversations without knowing who you are. If a presentation is protected by a code, a cookie also remembers that you have unlocked it, for six hours.
We use your IP address briefly, to limit repeated attempts (for example, wrong codes on a protected presentation) and to keep the service safe.
4. How we use it
- To provide FlipNChat: to host publications, answer readers' questions, read answers aloud, and show publishers how their publications are used.
- To run your account: to sign you in, keep it secure, apply your credits, and prepare quotations and invoices.
- To contact customers and partners about their account, their invite or their invoices.
- To keep FlipNChat safe, to prevent abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
5. Who else receives it
We use three service providers to run FlipNChat. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:
| Provider | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Everything FlipNChat stores and serves | Hosting, database, file storage and network |
| Anthropic, PBC | The publication's knowledge text and the reader's question | Writing the assistant's answers |
| OpenAI, L.L.C. | Text to be read aloud; voice recordings to be transcribed | The spoken voice and speech recognition |
We also share personal data where the law requires it.
6. Where it is processed
FlipNChat runs on Cloudflare's global network, so your data may be stored or handled outside Singapore. Our AI and voice providers are based in the United States, so readers' questions, text to be read aloud and voice recordings may be processed there. When we send personal data outside Singapore, we take steps to make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and partner data: while the account is open, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business and accounting records.
- Quotations and invoices: for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records.
- Readers' questions and usage: while the publication's insights are available to its publisher. We delete them when the publisher asks us to.
- Comments on presentations: 180 days. When a publication is deleted, its comments and poll answers are deleted with it.
- Voice recordings: not kept.
- Invite requests: until we have dealt with your request, or sooner if you ask us to remove it.
8. How we protect it
All FlipNChat addresses use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in a salted, one-way scrambled form. Two-step sign-in is available for every account. Each customer's publications and data are kept apart from every other customer's. Access to our own administration tools is restricted.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to our using it. Email us at hello@dwhq.com.sg and we aim to reply within 30 days. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to keep providing some services, and we will tell you what that means before we act on it.
If you are a reader and want your questions removed, tell us which publication you used and roughly when. Clearing your browser's stored data removes the random visitor code.
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before typing personal details into a publication's chat.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
